Full Time Employees

Full-time employees (30+ working hours a week per fiscal year) are provided the following benefits.

  • Health, Dental, & Vision Insurance

    Health Insurance: Health insurance plans offered through CIGNA or Kaiser Permanente. The school contributes 60% of the cost of the plan.

    Dental Insurance: Dental insurance through CareFirst. The school contributes 60% of the cost of the plan.

    Vision Insurance: Vision insurance through Davis Vision. The school contributes 60% of the cost of the plan.
  • Retirement Plan

    Retirement Plan: Voluntary 403(b) retirement plan where the school contributes 8% of salary to a TIAA Retirement Choice Annuity account when the employee contributes 5%. The plan is available to full-time employees on the first of the month following one month of employment.

    Supplemental Retirement Account (SRA): All employees may establish a TIAA Retirement Choice Annuity Plus account on the first of the month following one month of employment up to the legal limits of the plan.
  • Tuition Remission

    Tuition Remission: Full-time employees who have children enrolled at St. Andrew’s in grades pre-K-12 are eligible for a reduction in tuition of 60% depending on availability of funds at the time of enrollment / re-enrollment.

    Summer Programs: St. Andrew’s Summer Programs tuition reduction for children of employees working at St. Andrew’s during the summer.
  • Tuition Assistance & Professional Development

    Tuition Assistance: Tuition assistance is available for faculty and staff to pursue a graduate degree in their field. After completion of a degree program funded by the school, the employee must work for one additional school year.

    Professional Development:
    Funds are budgeted to support faculty and staff attendance at educational workshops and seminars.

    Summer Grants: Summer Grants for faculty to enhance curriculum development.
  • Flexible Spending Accounts

    Flexible spending accounts to set aside tax-free dollars for dependent care expenses ($5,000 limit); unreimbursed health care expenses ($2,850 limit); and the employee portion of the St. Andrew’s health insurance premium.
  • Sick Leave, Personal Days, Vacation & Holidays

    Sick leave, Personal Days, Vacation and Holidays:

    a) 12-month employees: 9 days of sick leave, 3 personal days, up to 4 weeks of summer vacation, and up to 27 days off related to school holidays.

    b) 10-month employees: 7 days of sick leave, 3 personal days, and up to 26 days off related to school holidays.
  • Lunch

    Lunch is provided in the dining hall when school is in session. This benefit is offered at no cost to the employee.
  • Life Insurance

    Life insurance coverage equal to twice the employee's base salary. Includes accidental death and dismemberment coverage. This benefit is offered at no cost to the employee.
  • Disability Insurance and Assistance

    Short-Term Disability Assistance: Short-term disability assistance includes income replacement of 60% of salary for up to 12 weeks. This coverage is payable upon medical certification after 7 days of continuous disability. This benefit is offered at no cost to the employee.

    Long-Term Disability Insurance: Long-term disability insurance (LTD) includes income replacement of 60% of pre-disability salary to a maximum of $10,000 per month payable after 13 weeks of continuous disability. LTD coverage also provides for a monthly contribution of 10% of your disability payment to your TIAA retirement plan account (if participating at the time of onset of disability). This benefit is offered at no cost to the employee.

Part-Time Employees

Part-time employees (fewer than 30 working hours a week per fiscal year) are provided the following benefits at no cost to the employee.
