POSITION SUMMARY: This part-time position involves teaching 1 middle school dance class that meets 3 times a week for an hour: Tues 9-10 am, Wed 1:05-2:05 pm, Fri 9- 10 am.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Compliance & Community Commitment:
    • Abides by St. Andrew’s Episcopal School’s Employee Handbook
    • Commits to the school’s mission, core values, statement of diversity, equity, and belonging, and community norms for discourse
  • Teach 1 fall dance class

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Required:
    • BA or higher
    • Prior college-level/professional dance performance and/or prior K-12 dance instruction experience
    • Knowledge of a variety of dance styles
    • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with fellow teachers and administrators
  • Preferred:
    • Previous experience teaching middle school-aged students

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Moving between various classroom and dance spaces
  • Regular physical activity, including demonstrating dance technique
