Middle School Spanish Teacher

The mission of St. Andrew’s Episcopal School is to know and inspire each child in an inclusive community dedicated to exceptional teaching, learning, and service. This full-time position involves teaching 5 sections of 6th and 7th grade Spanish, advising a group of 12 students, and supporting the extracurricular life of the school (coaching team sports being a key component). Knowledge of teaching with a student-centered holistic focus on language proficiency development in the three modes of communication using rubrics and differentiated instruction to guide individual student growth.

Qualifications: BA in Spanish, Education, or similar field required. Native speaking of Spanish and previous teaching experience is preferred. This exciting opportunity will require a faculty member who can work collaboratively with fellow teachers and administrators and who can thrive in a diverse community of respect and belonging. About the school: Founded in 1978, St. Andrew’s is a co-educational independent day school, enrolling approximately 715 students in preschool-grade 12. The school is a 19-acre campus (PS-12) in Potomac, Maryland.
